LOVATO Electric’s Supplier Day
On October 1st, LOVATO Electric held its Supplier Day, an important meeting between the company and its Italian suppliers. The event, with the participation of over 100 supplier companies, highlighted the strategic importance of the supply chain, emphasizing progress and future challenges, especially in terms of sustainability and digitalization.
With over 100 years of history, LOVATO Electric continues to innovate and grow, as demonstrated by the expansion of its product portfolio, which now includes 36 families separated into five main groups and more than 21,000 product codes. The company is known for designing and manufacturing low-voltage electrical components for industrial applications and for developing energy monitoring software.
During the Supplier Day, the importance of digitalizing the supply chain and the vendor rating system was emphasized. This tool allows the measurement of supplier performance, focusing on criteria such as quality and sustainability.
Sustainability was indeed a key topic in the Supplier Day agenda. LOVATO Electric reiterated its commitment to reduce environmental impact through the adoption of eco-design practices and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). These tools enable the assessment of the environmental impact of products throughout their entire life cycle, from production to end-of-life.
In addition, LOVATO Electric has adopted innovative solutions for decarbonization and energy management, with the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050, in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal. Among the ongoing projects, the company has installed photovoltaic systems on the roofs of its buildings and charging stations for electric vehicles, also utilizing its own products for energy monitoring and savings.
The event, therefore, offered a clear vision of the future of LOVATO Electric, strongly oriented toward innovation, sustainability, and collaboration with its suppliers to address the challenges of the global market.
