LOVATO Electric is celebrating its first 100 years of history. The celebrations officially started on September 10th with an event for all employees: a day dedicated to the Company’s past, present and future.
In the prestigious location of the Donizetti Theater in Bergamo, of which LOVATO Electric is a partner as well as sponsor of the recent renovations, the event “Follow the Orange” was staged: a journey through the milestones of these first 100 years of the Company, narrated by Gianpiero and Massimo Cacciavillani, respectively President and CEO.
A journey that began in the early 1900s and that, over the years, has connected employees and stakeholders all over the world.
Celebrations with world customers
Representatives from more than 100 countries around the world gathered for a unique event with a rich and varied program in which corporate moments followed by fun and convivial experiences, in the name of Made in Italy.
The event aimed to celebrate the Company’s past, present and future.
“It was in the 1970s when we began to understand the importance of opening up to foreign markets and crossing national borders,” says Gianpiero Cacciavillani, President of the Company, “To see our Company grow steadily and play a major role in the international industrial automation scene is a source of great pride.”
To always look to the future, innovations and new challenges, but with a strong attachment to the territory.
Celebrations with italian customers
After the events dedicated to foreign employees and customers, the centenary celebration continued with 3 days dedicated to italian customers. The goal was to promote awareness of the Company, its technology and people, talk about the history, but also about future plans.
After the management speeches thanking those present, the floor was passed to internationally renowned mountain climber from Bergamo Simone Moro, a true friend of the Company. Already speaking on several occasions for speeches and motivational moments, the mountaineer who just returned from Nepal literally captured the attention of all the guests with stories that let a great closeness between his experience, his values and those of the Company shine through. Undoubtedly one of the common elements is the attachment to his homeland, Bergamo. “Our dreams must be a fire within us. We must be the first supporters of ourselves, with the awareness of our limitations, but the conviction that we can achieve our dreams.”
Trail del Centenario
On June 19th the Trail del Centenario was held, a mountain running race created to jump start LOVATO Electric’s 100th anniversary celebration with a special sporting event.
