Energy
saving is now a key issue of management strategies at all levels,
from families to large companies. The common goal is to reduce
energy requirements in order to reduce costs, both in monetary terms
and environmental terms. To achieve success in this relation, it is
important to constantly measure and analyse energy flow using
instrumentation that provides a high level of accuracy and that is
applicable to various supply points to obtain precise data properly.
Lovato
Electric counts on satisfying all the requirements mentioned with
the new DME series of modular power meters, with mechanical display
or LCD, which ranges from a single-phase version of only one module
(18mm), with direct connection to systems up to 40A, two three-phase
versions, with a maximum current of 63A for direct use or through
current transformers, both in a 4 module size. The series is
completed with an additional two-phase module with a maximum current
of 63A.The energy meters are designed and made to be evidently
electrically safe and accurate according to Class B requirements of
the European Directive 2004/22/EC for measuring instruments (MID).
Consumption can be perceived by the user by the
metrological LED on front or by a programmable pulse output that can
be used as an alarm when a programmed threshold is exceeded. The user
can also consult values for voltage, current, frequency, power,
power factor and maximum demand. In addition, there is a counter
useful to monitor the operating time of a load or how long an alarm
condition lasted. Three-phase versions can also operate two tariffs,
configured by an AC input.
EXPANDABLE MODEL TYPE DME D310 T2 The three-phase DMED310T2
version for connection through current transformers is equipped with
integrated optics port on the housing side to permit expansion of
the base unit with EXM series modules. Therefore, the energy meter
can be equipped with inputs and outputs to collect signals from the
field and operate on other devices. It can integrate several
communications interface such as USB, RS232, RS485 and Ethernet and
use a memory module for data acquisition with time stamp.
